Navigating your way around Ngong Ping 360

From Tung Chung Terminal to Ngong Ping Village

Your journey begins at the Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal, a short walk from Tung Chung MTR Station. From here, the cable car travels 5.7 km across Tung Chung Bay, the airport, and Lantau’s mountains, reaching Ngong Ping in about 25 minutes.

Exploring Ngong Ping Village

The Ngong Ping terminal opens directly into Ngong Ping Village, a pedestrian plaza with shops, restaurants, rest areas, and visitor facilities. The village is compact and easy to navigate, with clear signage pointing toward major landmarks.

Walking to Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery

The Big Buddha is about a 5–10 minute walk from the village, followed by a climb of 268 steps to reach the statue. Po Lin Monastery sits just beyond the Buddha and can be explored on the same visit.

Reaching Wisdom Path and nearby trails

Wisdom Path is about a 15–20 minute walk from the village via signposted walking trails. This quiet hillside area offers a more scenic and peaceful experience compared to the main plaza.
